FAQs

How does a house-call mobile vet work?

We provide veterinary care in the comfort of your home. We have everything we need in our vehicle and can have the appointment inside your house or work. Mobile Vets are great for pets who don't like car rides or trips to the vet and even for individuals who like the convenience of not having to go to the vet.

To make sure the visit runs smoothly, please have a comfortable area where the doctor can examine your pet. Ensuring that your pet is not hiding elsewhere prior to the team arriving will help ensure we have the maximum amount of time to address your questions and concerns.

Please allow a 30-45 minute buffer time for your visit in the event any unforeseen delays to the team arriving occurs. Typically our visits will last anywhere from 30-60 minutes for a single pet.

Please ensure you have sent your records to risingsunveterinary@gmail.com -at least 24 hours in advanced so we have time to review them and can be prepared to provide the support you and your pet needs!

How much does a visit cost?

Each visit is different. Our house call fee is $100 and exam/consultation is $60. It will at least be $160 for us to come and examine your pet and discuss any health concerns. Any other service, testing or prescriptions would be an additional cost.

What type of animals do you treat?

We treat and care for cats, dogs, and some small ruminants. Dr. Garatea consults on herd health as well as vaccines.

What is the best way to contact you?

We will respond to both emails and phone calls. Due to our mobile practice email can be the quickest way for a response since we are unable to answer phone calls when we are with clients. If you are looking to schedule an appointment you can schedule through our online portal.

Do you see nervous, scared or aggressive pets?

We do our best to work with these pets since going to a clinic can be extremely difficult for both client and pet. Feel free to contact us with your specific situation. We want to help as much as we can.

What are your services and limitations?

We offer general wellness care and some sick pet visits. At this time we are not able to offer any of the following: surgical procedures, radiographs, fluid therapy

Due to this, if we think these services may be required for your pet we may recommend pursuing care at a clinic that provides these services.

What happens if you are running late?

There is always a chance we will be early or late. Our previous appointment may have run late or traffic can sometimes slow us down. If we are going to be more than 10 minutes late or early we will contact you.
